Combining Arts, Sciences, Technologies, and Nature to build the future of our civilizations.
The Fondation Jacques Rougerie encourages young generations worldwide to take on current and future global challenges: climate change, rising sea levels, oceanic and space issues, by developing visionary and biomimetic artistic and architectural projects to create new, sustainable, and desirable living environments.

This network of young creators brings together and mobilizes former candidates and winners of the competition, thereby allowing the Foundation to shine on a national and global level and to foster the interest of young architects and researchers in responsible and visionary architecture.

Marine biologist
Jacques Rougerie is a world-renowned French visionary architect and academic, specialized in the field of marine and coastal habitats. Passionate about the sea and space, he bases his work and innovations on biomimetic, bio-inspired, resilient, and sustainable architecture.

I have realized my dreams thanks to encounters with women and men who believed in my vision of a forward-looking, biomimetic, bio-inspired architecture and helped me bring it to life. Without them, many of these projects would not have come to fruition. Today, I wish to pass on this passion that has always inspired me by helping new generations imagine their future and build their own dreams. This is my commitment and that of the Foundation, for it is from the ocean and space that the destiny of future civilizations will emerge.
